Provably Fair Poker Games

Poker: One of the oldest forms of gambling known, Poker was believed to have been played as far back as 900. AD in China using domino’s and again traces of poker can be found in Egypt in the 12th & 13th centuries. From there poker can be found in the 17th Persian culture titled “As Nas”. The game of As Nas has more similarity to poker then the forms played in Chinese and Egyptian culture. Europeans played poker as well with a french version titled “poque” in the 17th & 18th century. It is believed that the game of poque was developed from a similar Spanish game called primero which was played as early as the fifteen-hundreds. Refereed to by most as “pokers mother”, primero is the first recorded game directly connected to the game poker. With the french bringing poque to North America first through Canada then next to New Orleans, it quickly took hold and was one of the most popular games of its time. An American by the name of Johnathan Green refereed to poque as “the cheating game” and is credited with the Americanization of the game and coining the title as Poker. Poker has many different variances with some of the most popular forms being 5 card draw, 7 card stud and Texas Hold’em. Ever since the 1970’s, Texas Hold’em has been by far the most popular poker game and has even started its own poker revolution with multiple websites dedicated to Texas Hold’em itself.
